What Moves Us (Director)
A love letter to the theatre and performing arts, featuring three dancers who share their stories and each perform a piece they created.
A short documentary following three dancers who talk about what dance and movement means to them. They each talk about what inspires their artistic workflows and perform a dance they created: Caitlyn Lopez-Howie, starts with a jazz routine, Victoria Scott does a ballet routine, and Mirphie Kinanga closes the film with an afro beat routine.
Director's Statement:

As a graduate of 2020, I never got to finish my last year in competitive dance due to the pandemic. I made this film as a thank you to performing arts for giving me the space to express myself and a love for the arts. It was the closure I never got, and a celebration to all dancers/performers who have worked so hard and continue to share their passion for dance. "What Moves Us" was my directorial debut that came to fruition in 2022 through my third year Core 1 class at Sheridan College. Thank you to every single person who helped bring this film to life, and everyone who supported us along the way :)
